Alpine Crossing from Innsbruck to Sterzing: Hidden Gems Between North and South Tyrol. Experience an unforgettable walking holiday from Innsbruck to Sterzing, following lesser-known and serene mountain passes. Starting in Innsbruck, the capital of Tyrol, the journey takes you to Fulpmes in the Stubai Valley, known for its traditional charm and breathtaking mountain scenery. From there, continue to Trins in the picturesque Gschnitz Valley, a haven of peace surrounded by pristine nature.

The route leads past the stunning Obernberger See, one of Tyrol's most beautiful alpine lakes, to the quiet village of Obernberg, where lush meadows meet rugged peaks. Finally, you'll arrive in Gossensass, the gateway to South Tyrol, before reaching Sterzing - a delightful town with medieval character and warm South Tyrolean hospitality. This Alpine crossing blends natural beauty with cultural discovery, away from crowded trails. Quaint villages, hidden paths, and authentic experiences make this journey a unique adventure for mountain enthusiasts.

Tour profile: You will follow high trails and therefore we expect sure footedness from the hikers. Daily tours up to 7 hours demand a good fitness but there are sometimes short cuts or public transfer to the next hotel. You will walk on single trails, mountain roads and winding trails. Expect some steep ascents and descents on this tour! Hm = Difference of altitude!
